Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) describes the use of hormones identical to the hormones found naturally in the human body. The goal of BHRT is to restore “balance” to the body’s optimal hormone levels. Age, stress, diet, activity level, & the environment can all play a factor in your hormone balance. Symptoms of hormone imbalance may negatively affect your overall health and well-being. Fortunately, testing by a specially trained healthcare provider can identify these imbalances and provide help. Once a hormone imbalance is identified, your healthcare provider works with University Compounding Pharmacy to formulate a customized cream, oral capsule, solution, or lozenge for under the tongue.
